Ricarda has always been driven towards fighting for social justice and decided to professionalize her passion; she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Applied Science in Hamburg.

She has several years of experience working with the homeless population and people with a social disadvantage both in Germany and Costa Rica. Her working experience and studies have made her an expert on the intersectionality of living with disabilities and poverty. Ricarda is aware of the difficulty immigrants face within the society, which she uses as a cultural mediator with marginalized communities.
